I had heard such good things about this book so I just had to read it.  And I was not disappointed.  I loved the characters.  Michael and his mother had such a bond.  It was them against the world.  With the exception of Michaels good friend, Ostin.  Ostin is such a loyal friend.  I did wish he had a power of his own.  I think it’s the mother in me.  Ostin was going into dangerous situations with only friendship and loyalty to protect him.  I didn’t like him so exposed.  Especially since he was brave enough to do this for his friend.

I loved Michael and Taylor’s relationship.  The boy with Tourette’s, the outsider and the popular cheerleader.  Michael had been through so much.  I was cheering for him to meet and bond with Taylor.  It felt like he deserved it.  And we learned that Taylor did too.

My heart broke when Michael’s mom got abducted.  I wanted her rescued by the end of the book.  That was heart wrenching.  I have such a strong bond with my mother.  So I was completely behind the rescue.

I recommended this book to my hubby and he read it and finished it so fast.  He raved about this book.  LOVED it and has been recommending it to everyone.  He thinks he will love the series as much as Harry Potter.  Which is high praise.  He loves books.  I like that this one is good for all people.

Did you read it?  I’d love to hear what you thought.  I like recommending books to others but I LOVE to hear what they thought of the books.  Leave me a comment if you read it.

Thanks for reading,

Quero uma cor que combine bem com as outras sombras que já tenho(Patina, Handwritten, Woodwinked e Kid). Obrigada pelas dicas!Bjos
