My daughter’s Baptism

A few weeks ago we had a special event in our family.  My daughter got baptized.  We couldn’t be prouder of her decision.  It’s been a tradition for us that my mother and I get together and make special dresses for my daughters.  We made their blessing dresses when they were newborns and we have made 2 baptism dresses so far.  {Don’t worry, I don’t think we will be making any wedding dresses}  I showed a sneak peak of this dress in my post about my mother.  And here is the official Baptism dress of my daughter “Laughter”

This isn’t your traditional formal Baptism dress.  But it fits “laughter’s” personality perfectly.  She is a fun, happy, lovely girl.  I wanted a dress that was cute and flirty for her.  My mother suggested making it shorter and I think that made the dress.  “Laughter” loved it and she looked so adorable in it.

We had an amazing day.  Her Baptism went great and the party after was fun too.  I will be posting a few more things from her special day so look for those posts.

Thanks for reading.

  2. I love her dress! It looks like something that a child can really wear and enjoy. Some of the super fancy ones I have seen don’t really look right for such a young girl. Congrats to your daughter :)

    • You are so sweet. I really appreciate the comment. I was a little worried how this dress would go over because it’s not typical. Thanks for the reassurance.
