Quick and easy present for a girl

I went to a birthday party for my niece a little while ago.  She was doing a mystery night and we all had parts and costumes etc.  In all the getting ready preparations, I might have spaced that this was a birthday party.  So I needed a last minute present.

I love putting up inspirational quotes for children to see daily.  As a little reminder.  For her I wanted something that could influence her for good but that she wouldn’t think was corny.  I think I did ok.

I sprayed the frame white and used fabric for the background.  Then I cut out letters in vinyl.  If you don’t have a vinyl cutter, you could use vinyl stickers.  I’ve seen these at the dollar store.
With such a busy background, the quote got lost.  I did it in pink and it didn’t stand out at all.  My hubbs said to outline it in a sharpie.  I must admit I was skeptical.  I didn’t want it to look like a bad craft project.  But I did it anyway.  I think it turned out great.  Thanks for the awesome idea hubby!!
I put a few pinwheels on the corner to add a little something.  I have a tutorial for pinwheels if you want to learn how to make those.  They are easy too.  Make up a few extra and you can have them on hand.  I am finding so many uses for them.
My niece really liked it.  I hope it can help remind her through those turbulent years that happiness is a choice.
My Gramma wants to make a bunch of these for Christmas presents.  What do you think, would you or your girl like to get something like this?
