I’m so excited to be doing Handmade Christmas again this year. If you remember, we have 32 people we need Christmas gifts for each year. Not including our own little family or neighbors etc. So I am always on the lookout for great Handmade gift ideas. I’m excited to share what I’ve been up to you with you all. Hopefully they will work for you also.
I made these cute ruffly scarves for my neighbor friends. I think they are super cute and {shhh} I am keeping some for me and my girls.

Do you need to secure the scarf when you come to the end? Is the length up to ones own discretion or is there a set length for adults and children?
Pull your last stitch all the way through like you do with normal crochet. You can then cut your yarn and tie a small knot if you want. I knotted some and not others. They both stayed. There is not a set length. I just went for a while and then tried it on my own neck to see if I liked the length. Great questions!
HI!! I LOVE the scarf!! I have never touched a crocheting needle a day in my life. Thanks to your video I was able to get the hang of the process. I am a little lost on how to end the scarf. I have lost my stitch a time or two and once the whole scarf unraveled so I am afraid I will get to the end and it will unravel again. Can I just make a knot once I get to the last “loop?” Thank you so much!
Thanks, love the idea. Now I’m trying to count how many I can make before Christmas.
Those scarves and the model are ADORABLE!
So adorable.. The scarf turned out so cute!
Love this! I have a few last minute gifts to whip up and a 17 hour car ride to do it in! I am juts wondering what do you do to keep the ends from fraying or becoming unraveled?
Nevermind! I just looked at the previous comments
Okay don’t know if this is a dumb ? But how do you get it multi colored? Does the yarn come like that or do you just add the pieces together?
I know you didn’t ask me, but it is self striping yarn.
So, it comes like that.
Is there a certain hook size I should be using. I can not for the life of draw the two circles under the other.
What do I do about the roughness at the begining? How do I bind off?
Yeah, I should have read the comments. What’s the pull through thing? I dont do actual crochet.

Hi Neomi,
I can see the video so I’m not sure why it isn’t showing for you. Here is the link to the YouTube video so you can watch it there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=CUu07SRSp0w
If you still have problems with this, let me know and I will figure something else out. I hope you have fun making these scarves!!
