Mother’s Day is coming up everyone. Are you prepared? I am lucky. I have told you all how much I love my mom, but what you don’t know is that I have an AMAZING Mother in law too. I know, it almost doesn’t seem fair. But I am sure glad.
That guy on the right, he is my Father in law and we love him too. I’m telling you lucky.
Both Nana and Papa are diabetic. Prior to marrying my hubby I didn’t know anything about Diabetes. But since there is a family history, I have been trying to be more aware. They are constantly working on their health and have been making great progress. Last time I visited I was so happy to hear that they were able to drop most of their prescription medicines by working on diet changes. The last thing I would want to do is mess that up. Especially with a Mother’s day gift.
So when I was offered some Werther’s original sugar free candy, I jumped at it.
I wanted to know how the sugar free variety compared to the Werther’s candy I was used to. I may have sneaked a few pieces for myself. Had to taste test right? I really like these. So much that I will probably not buy the sugary kind anymore. I think I may like the taste of these better. But what I really love is that the candies are smaller in size.
But they don’t make you feel like you need to eat more to make up for their size. You eat one and you have satisfied your sweet tooth, but you are getting less bad stuff for your body.
Want to see how I packaged these up for my Mother in law.
I love using mason jars. I always have some on hand and they are such a perfect container. I wanted to pretty this presentation up a little so I tied the ribbon around and made a printable lid.
I kinda love this printable mason jar lid. It ads the cutest touch.
I made a few different options for you guys:
I must admit I love these!

Print and cut them out, then just put them on your mason jars. They are great for gift giving or putting a pretty touch on a plain jar.
I was happy to find out that Werther’s original sugar free candy is actually good. I admit in the past I have avoided things labeled sugar free. For fear of wasting money and food if we didn’t like the product. My thoughts have now completely changed. I like this candy better than it’s sugary predecessor.
My hubby works a very physically demanding job and every so often, someone will buy a bag of hard candy and bring it in to share. Jace often buys Werther’s candy and brings it in. Since there is diabetes in his family and he needs to watch it, I am happy to know that he can now take Werther’s original sugar free candies. And it will taste just as good.
Make sure you stop by Werther’s original sugar free facebook page. Tell them I sent you.
I hope you can use these printable mason jar lids. If you use them, I would love to see what you do.
