Pantry door makeover

I love adding pops of color in unexpected ways.  You guys saw how I painted my front door right? I so love it and have had so many compliments.

I’ve been wanting to makeover my pantry door too.  Here it is before:

this plain boring pantry door gets a makeover

Ok this isn’t my pantry door…I don’t have a before of the pantry.  But it looks exactly like this.

I wanted to bring that yellow color from the front door into the room so I started by painting.

love this pantry door makeover

As you can see in the pic above, I also distressed it a bit.  The paint by itself was a little flat and I LOVED the distressing!

Already it looks so much better. But I wanted to make it a little more personalized.

Love the color on the pantry door. The saying is perfect!

I love the saying, the font everything.  It’s just a fun little unexpected thing.  To me it says food made with love.  I can picture a family dinner where mom or gramma made your favorite dish and everyone sits down to a big table.  The food is presented with a Bon Appetit! For me, making yummy dinners is one of the ways I show love to my family.  I love having this little reminder.

Here is the finished pantry door makeover:

Love everything about this pantry door makeover

Don’t you just love it?  I do.  This project took maybe 2 hrs.  It’s a great one to do and finish {and clean up} quickly.

cute pantry door makeover

Isn’t it so much better now? I think it would be cute in an aqua or mint also.

  2. very nice!! I wish I had the patience to do projects like that! I’ve always wanted a RED door or a seablue door…. maybe some day.. both of your doors turned out great. You lean to the yellowish side which is a very happy color!! Made me happy!

  4. Good stuff! I love everythign she says about no logenr being a spectator! Get up and move, don’t just sit there and let life pass you on by while you watch it go! She is really more than inspiring me now. I know these things but I have someone close to me who needs to hear this girl speak. I think he would listen to someone else. She speaks of being per-insulin dependent and such and it hits home now bro! My hubby so needs to hear this! Thanks
