Red White and Blue Rice Krispie Treats

I made these red white and blue Rice krispie treats last year for The 4th of July.  We had a big party.  My Uncle flew in and everyone got together.  My gramma wanted a family picture with all of her family.  I was so happy that so many people showed up to give her that!

So I made some patriotic rice krispie treats.

It was a lovely day.  The weather was great.  Not too hot and we all sat around our fire pit and caught up.  Told stories and re connected with family.  And then night fell and the fireworks started.  Which was a perfect culmination of the day.

These rice krispie treats were a hit.  They taste yummy.  It completely helps that rice krispie treats are one of my absolute favorite treats.  But I really don’t make them often.  I have this thing about melted marshmallows.  Because they are a sticky mess.  But so worth it for this recipe.

And the red white and blue colors are a big wow factor.  Definitely make these for your celebrations this summer.
