We have been trying to eat a little healthier around here. Just trying to cut out some of the artificial ingredients and preservatives in our food. We are not going crazy about it, just when it works to choose better, we are. So we have been having a lot of fruit smoothies for our breakfast around here.
These are so yummy. My kids don’t even know they are good for them. We don’t use sugar in ours so they are not as sweet as you may be used to. But still yummy
This recipe is also very forgiving. You can use different types of fruit. You can use fresh fruit when it’s in season or frozen year round. If you use fresh, add some ice cubes. If you use frozen, you don’t need the ice cubes.
To make enough smoothies for me and my 3 kiddos, I fill my blender with fruit. Add a couple cups of plain yogurt. Some honey or pure maple syrup and some milk. I sometimes also add some spinach to get some good stuff in my kiddos. Just blend it all up and pour into cups.
It’s so easy and yummy. You can use different kinds of fruit or throw different ingredients in there. Make as much or as little as you want. I love how it is a yummy treat but good for you. My girls love these and eat them up. Your family will love them too.
