Jelly Bean Topiary for Easter plus Candy Giveaway!

Thanks to HERSHEY’S for sending me yummy product for this post and Global Influence for providing  compensation.

The other day, I got the best box in the mail.

Use your Easter candy to make a cute topiary. #BunnyTrail

Best package ever…am I right?  Don’t miss your chance to win your own at the end of this post.

I knew immediately I wanted to craft with some of this.  Craft…with candy?  Yep.  I just love to look outside the box and use unconventional materials.  Want to see what we made?

My kiddos had so much fun working on this with me.  They kept saying when are we gonna do the project.  It’s a fun way to get your family excited for Easter.  You could also use it as a teaching moment to talk about the meaning behind Easter.

I got all my supplies from the Dollar store.  Besides for the candy which HERSHEY’S sent me.

As soon as I saw these Easter Eggs on a stick I knew I wanted to use them for my topiary.  I liked the idea of making the topiary egg shaped.  If you can’t find these you could use a Styrofoam circle shape and stick a skewer into it.  I also picked up some moss and a few clay pots.

The main ingredient was these JOLLY RANCHER jelly beans.

Aren’t Jelly Beans so pretty?  As a side note, JOLLY RANCHER Jelly Beans are my favorite.  The flavor is so good.

step 1

I added some beans to my pot so the stick would stand up and I trimmed the skewer just a little.  Then I use my glue gun to glue Jelly Beans all around it.

Keep gluing until you get this:

Eden handed me all the blue and yellow Jelly Beans.  She just loves doing projects with mom.

I think it came out super cute.  I am going to make two more and put them on my mantle.  Do you decorate for Easter?  Crafting up some home decor is one of our Easter traditions.  As well as making glue gun Easter Eggs.  I found these cute Easter coloring pages, I am going to print some out and add them to my Easter baskets this year.
